5-7pm – Outdoor Cook-Up
Roll up your sleeves, apron on, and join the Squash community cooks to help make the Solstice Community Feast!

5-6pm – Draw the Park
Join local park fans and artists Caspar & Ian to draw the park landscape. All materials provided; charcoal, chalk, paper and pencils

5-6pm – Red Tent Liverpool
Kate and co will be pitching up the beautiful red bell-tent; a sharing space for women and will be promoting their new Radiant Mama project. Breast-feeding mamas very welcome!

5-7pm – Looking at the Sun
What does our sun look like? Add to a collection of sun images shining back from the surface of the earth.

5-7pm – Compostable Wearables
Join Angelica and Tabitha to make natural accessories to activate magic & merriment this solstice night!

6-7pm – Vegetable Orchestra
Learn how to make instruments out of veg and play in the special vegetable orchestra with SoCo; Southampton Community Music Project! 1 hr session. Limited spaces. Sign up from 5.30pm. www.socomusicproject.org.uk

6.30pm – Magic Music with Amanda, Mick and Mark

7pm – Community Feast
Join the Squash community cooks and neighbours and friends you’ve not yet met to break bread and eat together!

8pm – Community Healing Dance
Connect and move with dance artist Maxine as she draws on influences from Planetary Dance, Somatic dance practice and Vimbuza, and together let’s make a Community Healing Dance

8.30pm – Gong Bath
Immerse yourself in vibrations of nature, crystal and metal as Catherine & Andrew guide you through this special sundown sound journey! IMPORTANT: bring a mat, blanket & pillow! It can get chilly at dusk…

9.44pm – Sunset

All sessions take place by the big oak tree just up from Woodhenge in Princes Park, L8. Enter the park via the Devonshire Rd/Belvedere gate and bear right.

Other activities throughout the day include cooking with a solar oven, rainbow-making, a vegetable orchestra, deck-chair snoozing, fire-making, tree-hugging and making a community of suns. And whatever your thing is – bring it along! All activities are accessible for all and food is free / ‘pay as you feel’ and all donations will go to the ‘Soup-It Forward campaign.

Embrace your inner fire and join us in the park to mark the longest, lightest day of our year; the summer solstice. Everyone is welcome to come and breathe deep, make shapes, enjoy seasonal foods, explore the park, cook over the fire and meet new friends.
